Is it normal for teenagers to be angsty and throw tantrums?

OK I'm talking about myself. I do realize that it's VERY immature and I wish I could stop myself from having my outbursts again but it's hard. The thing is I have VERY low self-confidence and whenever I don't like an aspect of myself or get things my way, I sometimes would yell at my mom and sit down and cry. If I get SUPER angry, I might start throwing stuff around. I'm really more of the crying type… And my mom would yell back at me and it sucks because it makes me feel worse about myself. I feel like I'm trying to get people's attention and I find that so disgusting about myself!

Like for example, I really want to become fitter but today most of the food I ate was junk food because there was nothing healthy in the house to eat. So I was going to go out to buy some fruits even when there was a storm. My mom started yelling at me for bringing my iphone out (she was afraid it would get stolen or something), and then I got really mad and threw one of those fits.

So anyway, is it normal? Or do I have anger issues?

If you ask me teenagers are just big, verbal, toddlers. We still get frustrated at things, and sometimes with throw tantrums. Hopefully not rolling on the floor tantrums, but little tantrums none the less. I throw mini tantrums when i get really frustrated, or when i'm going to be late. Dumb things to get mad about, but oh well.

It's somewhat normal, but like i said not great. You just have to figure out what upsets you so much, and work on avoiding that and learning to control yourself and your emotions. If you're angry, taking a few minutes to yourself to calm down can be just as helpful as throwing things.

I wouldn't go as far to say either. However your anger, is as you have recognized, a present issue.generally, this is pretty common with adolescents.
