Is it ok to leave iPhone charger in the socket 24/7?
Without charging the phone, but the charger just plugged into the socket 24/7
Does anyone else do this?
It is not ideal but it should be OK. It probably uses a little bit of electricity even though nothing is on charge. It is better to switch off and unplug unused electrical items.
Yes, I do that all the time since I've had my phone
It should be
It won't hurt any thing but you are wasting electric and paying for it
I wouldnt do that. Messing with electricity just because you are that lazy is just being stupid.
It's fine. Many energy-conserving people talk about *phantom electricity* - the stuff that is slowly using power because it is ON all the time - but frankly, what YOU are talking about is So small compared to other wasteful practice, I would not worry. Leaving all the lights (incandescent) on in a room when you leave - THAT is wasteful.Leaving a TV or stereo playing when nobody is in the room (unless you do so as a theft deterrent, so it sounds like somebody is home) - that is wasteful. When we travel overseas, we're told that we can charge our devices using one a plug converter - not a VOLTAGE converter - since they barely sip any electric at all. Check bigger things - like AC or an electric water heater - and do not sweat itty bitty chargers. OR get SOLAR PANELS - and do what you want!
You could, but prolonged practice of that could eventually lead to a swollen battery
It should be.
Well I'm not electrician but I think it won't do any harm because it's the same case for the wires that connect the breaker box to the outlet
That type of battery doesn't get along with sitting on a full charge without getting used. For the best longevity, don't run it flat or leave it static with a full charge. When it dies all the way to the point It won't charge anymore (18 months- 2 years) you can't change it yourself, so treat it gently. Keeping it perpetually fully charged will shorten its life.
- Will a 110-220v iphone charger work in a 230v socket? I'm wondering if i should give it a try, or if it could potentially cause damage. If it did cause damage, would it be to my iphone, the power supply, or both?
- Why are Iphone chargers designed so the plug is difficult to pull out of socket? It pisses me off! Hairdryer plugs, hair straightener plugs are fine, i can get a good grip and pull them out easily but Ipod/Iphone plugs are so stupid! When i take my charger out i break a nail trying to pull the damn thing out!
- Problems with iphone 5s headphones socket? I tried many apple headphones but it seems like the problem is in my phone not lthe headphones so whenever i plug in the headphone it works just fine with the volume isn't up but when i try and raise it a bit it only works in one earbud and with really noisy voice so is there a way to fix this myself?
- My iPhone 4 earphone socket isn't working? The earphones are walking perfectly fine. I know this because they are normal on other devices. The socket hasn't got dust in it.
