Is there a fix for water damaged iphone?

So I dropped my iphone in some water on accident for about 10 seconds or less because I immediately pulled it out. Everything is working on my phone EXCEPT the volume buttons on the side is there any fix for that

I would power it off and stick it in a bag of rice over night. If you ever drop your phone in water, you should always shut it off immediately and put it in some sort of water absorption medium, e.g. Rice.

The sad truth is

its going to get worse

generally speaking. If an electrical item receives a drink it should be switched off immediately as any residual moisture can contribute to a short circuit at any time

if the item is dismantled and dried in all likelihood it can be saved

given where youre at right now I would suggest you switching it off and having it serviced by someone vaguely competent

I've seen the rice trick work, but it may take more than overnight. It took a few days for it to work for a friend of mine.

Now i want to restore it so i could give it to my son. ITs been 4 months now and i have not turned it on since (it doesn't turn on either). Will the rice method still work? Btw, you can't go to the aple store with a damaged iphone… They don't cover it
