Music won't show up under Artist on iPhone
So I downloaded two mix tapes and they were on my computer in my iTunes library. The songs show up under the artists name on my iTunes. Then I sync my phone and they don't show up on the phone under the artists name. They're on there, because i can find the songs under the songs tab as well as the albums tab on my phone. But they don't show up in the artists tab? Has this happened to anyone else and how can i fix it?
Edit the info of the song file on your iPhone using iTunes next time your iPhone's connected to the computer. EVen if the info is correct, a reedit can't hurt. Once you've made the changes- be patient. IPods and iPhones won't recognize the changes as soon as you've made them.
Also, don't sync. I never sync - manual management works for every device I've tried, incl. Different generations of nano, touch, iPhone and ipad, even iOS 7 versions. It's just superior to syncing in every way. That's always the way I do it, and I don't have any of the problems complained of in questions posted here by other iPod or iPhone users.
- Why is my music not showing up in the artist section of my iPhone? I just started adding music to my Iphone 5 and quite a bit of the music will not show up in the Artist section. After searching for it I can usually find what I was looking for in either the Album or Song section, but I find it kind of annoying to have to search so hard just for music. Any idea what's causing this?
- Why do both numbers show up under imessage? I have 2 iphones. One is supplied through work, and the other one is my personal phone. I used my apple id on both of them. I notice when I go in the messing or facetime settings, both phone numbers are listed on my personal phone. Will this cause any problems, or is this normal since I'm using imessage on both iphones? I don't see a option to delete the number.
- What are the music apps/sites out there today for all songs by artist? Hi, I'm kind of out of the loop - I just got an iPhone and am familiar with Pandora. Is there anything where I can just play on shuffle all of the songs by Johnny Cash or the Eagles for example? Without "related" songs interspersed. Preferably for free of course without resorting to youtube. If not, what are the closest options available? Like I said, I'm out of the loop and don't really have time to experiment with every google result.

However if I look at the music on my phone the album isn't under that artist. I went to check under songs and albums and I can find it there. The info on the album says the artists name so it's not the info thats wrong… How do I get it to show up under the artist?
