Need to turn my laptop into hotspot?

Situation is: i connect to internet using Wi-Fi and I Can't USE cable to connect to internet.
So question is, if i have my laptop connect to internet through Wi-Fi, can i still create Wi-Fi hotspot throgh my laptop so that i can have my phone ( android, iphone…) internet access

Nope…

You will need two (2) Wi-Fi Adapters…

One for Connecting to Internet

and

One to Share that Internet connection with Other Wireless devices.

Its called Ad-HOC.

***On another note you can connect a Router to that Laptop via the Wired connection… By putting it into the WAN port of Router… But then again getting a second Wi-Fi adapter is cheaper than getting a router. Unless you already have one… But the Router will perform better as Infrastructure mode is 75% better than Ad-HOC mode.

Make Sure your Laptop is connected to LAN or Wi-Fi.

Then use Virtual Router Plus to create your very own Laptop Hotspot!

  • I'm trying to use my hotspot from my iPhone for my laptop and it won't connect? The computer is a Dell Latitude D600 and I'm using a D-Link plug in. The phones Wi-Fi is showing up but when I click connect, it says "Windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range. Please refresh the list of available networks, and try to connect again." It shows full service on both the phone and computer and the phone is right next to the computer. Any ideas?
