Jailbreaking an old iphone 3GS?

My current phone broke and I'm not eligible for an upgrade for a month. What is the easiest way to jailbreak an iphone 3GS (4.0.1) without having to connect it to a computer. Preferably a way that is free as well.

What's the price differ from contract to unlocked iPhone 4 & 4s?

I have no idea how a contract works but heres my view.
The iPhone 4 has gone down to $0 for a 3 year contract, so does that mean I just pay for $30-80 per month? And the 4s is $159 for 3year. So does that mean I pay $159 AND the contract ($30-80)?
So would it be cheaper to go with the iPhone 4 contract, or unlocked for either.

Computer isn't recognizing my iPhone?

I bought a new iPhone 4S this morning. I charged it and it was fine. Then I went to connect it to my computer and nothing happened. I tried using another cord and still nothing happened. I charged my iPhone again and it charged. But it still would not connect to my computer or iTunes. I updates iTunes, restarted my computer, and restarted my iPhone. My iPhone battery life was like 50% but it wasn't low. So how can I get my computer and iTunes to recognize my iPhone?

How to get access to the files on my iPhone 4s without Itunes?

My PC crashed and everything on it was wiped clean and deleted when i restored it, this including my Itunes and all files stored in itunes,

Now i have alot of pictures on my phone i Really DON't WANT TO LOOSE, music also but the pictures i really don't wanna risk, i know usually you could just plug the iphone in the pc and go to my computer and the pics would show up under DCIM but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore for some reason, and i don't want to redownload itunes yet because i know it will AUTO SYNC and i will loose all my Pics and Songs.

is there anyway i can get access to them without itunes

Why does my iphone 3gs always tilt to the right?

I got an unlocked iphone 3gs, and my screen constantly tilts to the right. For example, whenever i play temple run, when my screen is perfectly straight my person leans all the way to the right. What's wrong with my phone?

IPhone 3GS won't charge and connect to Laptop - Any solutions?

Okay, so the other night, I charged my iphone via the wall charger and in the morning, It was fully charged. I played temple run for like 20 minutes and the battery was down to 84% so I decided to charge it again but then, it won't charge! I was waiting for the "sound" or the FLASH symbol that would indicatethat it is charging but nothing appeared.

I tried connecting my iPhone to my laptop but it won't even recognize the phone, so does itunes I also tried doing a reset (Pressing the home screen and the power button at the same time for 10-20 seconds) but the same thing, nothing happened. This is really frustrating me.

So, I tried turning it off and I plugged it in via wall charge and voila! The apple logo flashed and my iPhone turned on.So, at that moment, I was hoping that it was already charging… But by the time the lock screen appeared, there was no FLASH symbol that would indicate it was charging. I decided to use all the battery that is left and drained it. By the time it finally turned off since the battery was already low, I decided to charge it again *CROSS FINGERS* After plugging it in, the BATTERY LOGO APPEARED with the flash symbol underneath it but it opened after it was charged at around 5% and it didn't continue charging, but the battery increased from 5% to 6%.

Obviously, it's not the usb cable that has a problem. My warranty has already expired last November and I'm afraid that if I would go to an apple store (I don't even know if we have one here), they would charge me a lot.

Help Please HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM AND FOUND A SOLUTION TO THIS?

Jailbroken iPhone - Different sim cards won't work?

I found an iphone 3G about a year and a half ago and tried to return it to its owner without any luck. Anyway I jailbroke it the other day with the latest version of redsnow using 4.2.1 and everything works find except for making calls and texts. It just either says sim locked or searching at the top left hand side of the screen, depending on the sim I put in.

A phone store said the firmware I'm using is too recent. Could this be the case?

I dropped my iPhone 4 in milk?

I dropped my phone in milk, just the top, not anything under the speaker. It worked for about a minute, the lock screen button wouldn't work, then the screen went black and it wouldn't work at all. I tried putting it in a bag of rice overnight, but it still doesn't work. What do I do?
