I work at a small learning center, so all the employees are in the same room the whole time. There's nowhere to go besides a small lobby and a tiny bathroom. We've spoken a few times about celebrities, iPhone vs androids, etc, but it wasn't a one on one conversation. The closest we came to 1 on 1 is when we were sitting next to each other, grading papers and the corporate supervisors came to check up on the center; they were making everyone nervous, and he jokingly whispered in my ear "jeez, how long are they usually here?" And I said "I don't know, but they're making me nervous" and he chuckled.
He's sort of like me; slightly shy, and kind of awkward. He's very cute look wise, and I can tell he has an adorable personality. Advice on talking to him more? I'm a senior in HS, he's a college freshman. (P.S this may seem dumb, but I'm worried about a cultural divide? I'm African American, and he's clearly Indian. I usually only attract other African Americans, occasionally Spanish, rarely whites. Are Indian males usually into black females? :/)
