My Two kids (Zoi aged 13 and Zahara aged 15) do wear brand named clothes and this one mom got all angry about it to me and said I should buy them walmart clothes.
now I buy them brand name clothes like (Uggs, Lulu lemon, Hollister, wet seal) you get the point but its usually all on sale. My kids came up to me one day and had their birthday money in hand and told me "Mom we will buy our lulu lemon pants and uggs from now on since we want to pick out what we want" and I was happy and joyful and grate full. Now I go to Hollister and my kids pick out things that look like its 39$ but the amount comes to be $9.99 see, I never taught them to look in the clearance but they always tell me "Mom the clearance has cute things" and I got them both skirts for 3.50 each. Now I don't mind paying for some school out fits for them and when we go to wet seal we do the wall deals of 5 things for $20 and then they can pick out ONLY one item that's not on sale but reasonably priced, and I don't mind it.
Now I wear Lulu lemon and my oldest likes the jackets but I didn't want to pay $65 so she looked and found one for $30. I still shop at Target for clothes in the teen section since the tops are comfy and some of the shoes are to die for. But I did recently found at Fred Meyers they had converse on sale, and both of my kids are 3's in kid size shoes and they both wanted white ones and FredMeyer had a half off coupon so I grabbed the last two that were in size 3 and surprised my kids. Am I bad?
Added (1). Also to add, my Husband and I recently switched our old phones (Iphone 5s to iphone 6s ) and gave our old 5s ones to our kids since they had the 4S for about 3 years now and they love the 5s ones better than the 6s which i'm glad they aren't bad about them. They do not beg for things and when were out and about and something on sale I usually get it if they were good in school or did all their chores.
