I know not to pack a bunch. I've decided to use a smaller bag so I'm not tempted to pack things I don't need. Lol.
CLOTHING
1.) So far I've got 2 old nightgowns to change into. I might not like the gowns that the hospital provides. Mine are shorter in length, with light, breathable fabric, but they have long, loose fitting sleeves. I doubt I'll feel up to shaving my underarms, so that's why I prefer longer sleeves.
2.) Because my nightgowns are shorter, I packed a pair of loose fitting shorts to wear underneath them. I just don't want anyone visiting to see my lady bits by accident, or feel uncomfortable about how short my gowns are. I don't plan on wearing shorts other then when people are visiting.
3.) 2 or 3 pairs of socks. I don't own a pair of slippers.
4.) 3 pairs of maternity underwear. Should I pack more just in case?
5.) I think I can make due with only one bra.
6.) An outfit to go home in. I was thinking a pair of sweatpants and a sweater.
The hospital provides shower basics and feminine health products. All I'll need is my toothbrush, toothpaste, and a razor.
Since there's a professional photographer at the hospital who takes pictures of you and your baby, I have no choice but to try to look nice that day. A little makeup, my hairbrush, and a few hairbands.
I only really need my iPhone and phone charger as far as electronics go.
Then there's my debit card, social security card, and driver's license.
Anything else you can think of?
