Why won't my iPhone 5s get recognized when I connect it to iTunes?

I've recently tried to connect my iPhone and my iPod into my computer so I can sync everything and add the new music I bought, but it won't get recognized to iTunes at all. I've tried doing the whole going to control panel and going to device management and everything and still nothing. The last time I connected it was back in April I think, its been a while. I have an HP envy and it had Windows 7 up until my brother updated Window to Windows 8. I also restarted my iPhone and I even uninstalled and re-installed iTunes and nothing is happening. I would really love to know why this is happening, and if there's any way it can be fixed.

How to turn a video from portrait to landscape without rotating it?

I need to rotate a video to landscape. My child took a video on his iphone (which I'm now working with on my PC) but he held the camera in the portrait position so it has black bars on either side of it when we look at it on the computer or youtube.
I don't mind losing some of the picture because there's so much blank space at the top.
How can I do this? I'd prefer a website that will convert it to landscape (like how I've marked it with the yellow lines) without having to purchase software or download anything to my computer if possible.How to turn a video from portrait to landscape without rotating it

My iPhone charger has been electrocuting me?

Long story short my mom came in my room and had her hand on my arm and said she felt like electricity running through me like she would feel a humming on my arms. I thought she was crazy. But after a few minutes we realized it was my phone in my hand plugged into the wall! I wondered why I couldn't sleep or breathe and my heart was racing. I'm obviously not going to use this charger but I've been using it and sleeping with it like it under me plugged in for a while. Has this done any damage? I mean I have a million health problems always. But anything in particular I should look out for?!

Why has no one made an iPhone case that adds extra memory?

Like this is literally a million dollar idea is it not? Just make the case cheaper than the extra $100 they charge you to go from one size to the next and you've got a protective iPhone case and you fix the huge problem of not having enough memory for the iPhone with no possibility of a SD Card. I remember there was a startup company that had an attempt at this and they said it really worked, but they didn't have the funds and ended up having to disband and the idea and model was lost, and this was like 3 years ago so in our modern time we should be able to get an extra 128GB into the back of an iPhone case with not much physical size added to the bulk of the phone compared to the popular LifeProof case.

So why hasn't it been done? I figured all the big case companies like Encipio and LifeProof and CandyShell would have all tried to do this a long time ago? Considering a 128GB flash drive costs suppliers less than $30, you could spend $10 on materials and sell it for a minimum of like $60 and you'd make bank. You could offer a waterproof version thats the same as LifeProof except its got 128GB of extra storage space and charge the same amount for it. Since it would need power, you could make it slightly thicker and make it a storage space and an external battery so that the battery can power the use of the extra storage space as well as recharge your phone when you need it to.

I'm going to design it as my final project for my drafting/CAD class so these ideas are mine!

How many pictures can I take?

I'm going to an amusement park and I want to take pics. I have an iPhone 5s and I have 1.2 gigabytes of free space. How many pictures can I take with that space?
