Warning: Long story.
So a little over a month ago, I dropped my iPhone into a kiddie pool. I quickly fished it out, fiddled with it to make sure it was okay, turned it off, and plunked it into a bag of rice. I left it like that for two weeks, and it came out still functioning. Mostly.
Every time I turn it on, it works alright for a few minutes. Then the screen begins to dim and I get the overheating screen. The process repeats every time I turn it on.
I can't sent it to Apple for repair as it wasn't originally my phone (my girlfriend gave it to me to replace my iPod after she cracked the screen and got a new one. I don't have service) and I don't have the money?
Any suggestions?
Also, my coworker suggested wrapping it in socks and sticking it in the dryer for a few minutes. Should I try that?
Please answer, I miss my iPhone baby.
