Why do I sound better lip singing?

When recorded direct on iPhone it's terrible! But when I record it and then film me lip singing to my voice it sounds a lot better

Added (1). My phone(iphone 5S) doesn't get Wi-Fi signal JUST in my room but the rest of the family's do, perfect connection. The signal is fine on their phones but the name of the Wi-Fi doesn't even come up on mine. Ideas of how to fix?

Hi, first off I mainly use apps, spotify buzzfeed maybe a few games not many and not anything high like the sims or high power games and maybe like one movie from my itunes. So i don't know if I need the sixteen or thirty-two. I don't have thousands of songs, maybe forty at most as i mainly use my ipod and spotify. I have maybe three hundred pictures at most at a time.
