IPhone unable to charge (After Replacement of Speaker and Home Button)?

I've just replaced the home button and the speaker enclosure for my iPhone and reassembled it all back.

After the repair, the iPhone is unable to turn on. The battery seemed flat so I tried to charge it and it'll display the "exhausted battery" icon, proceed to the apple logo, and turn itself back off after several seconds.

I've replugged it in again and left it on charge for another 15 mins but still get the same results each time I repeat the process

so was there possibly a misconfiguration (mismatched screws?) or was any of the components damaged during repair?

(I've tried a power cycle, no results and I've tried reassembling the whole thing again, 4 times in accordance to different guides, still same issue)

Added (1). It is an iPhone 4 GSM

Are iPhone 5S phones really that good?

I'm going to get a phone in the holidays. I need one so I can call people and text people. Is an iphone 5S good?

I'm kind of stuck with this option since it's very convenient in terms of syncing music and photos to iTunes; I can sell my old iPod touch and just use the iPhone 5S.

Is it really that good?

I haven't purchased a phone since 2010; I haven't used one since then either.

Will my UK T-mobile iPhone 5s work with a US T-mobile sim?

I'm going to the US in August for 2 weeks, and I'm hoping to get a US sim card so I can use data whilst I'm there. I'm currently on T-mobile in the UK on my iPhone 5s, and I'm wondering if I need to unlock my iPhone before heading to America, or if a US T-mobile sim will work on my phone anyway.

I'd preferably use T-mobile in the US because they have a "pay per day" deal, where you pay $2 a day for unlimited texts, calls and data. I'm doing this for the data though, as it's much cheaper than purchasing a bolt-on in the UK.

Is it worth getting an iPhone 4s?

Well, I have kind of an old phone and I want a new one. At first I wanted to get the iPhone 5c but I can't really afford it so I thought about getting the iPhone 4s.Is it worth it or not? I mean is it gonna stop working or something in a while from now? Plus, if I get it and don't upgrade to let's say IOS8 is there gonna be any problem? I've also thought about waiting until the iPhone 6 comes out to get the iPhone 5c but first, I'm a bit impatient and second, what if it gets discontinued and then I won't be able to get it?

Tips on saving cellular data?

Hi I'm going to get an iPhone. I heard from a lot of people saying that their data goes quickly. How can I save data?
