Ex contract iPhone 4 how to get it working?

I've been given a ex contract iPhone 4 it's been wiped of my mothers stuff n I now wanna use it what sim needs buying n if anything else doing to it for it to work as a pay n go phone?

ICloud Activation lock? Downgrade to iOS 6 to remove?

So I stupidly bought an iPhone 5C from eBay… It turns out it has the iOS 7 activation lock on it, I can't get anywhere with it and need to remove this blimmin' iCloud account, so if I was to put the device into Recovery/DFU mode and downgrade it to iOS 6 would this somehow remove the problem?

Can iphones stop sending text messages and sending calls?

Cause my boyfriend was trying to reach me yesterday and he called me three times and he said it rang a few times and then it went to voicemail, so could there be something wrong with his phone and he doesn't realize it?

Added (1). BTW this has happened before where I would receive everybody's calls and texts except one person and it was quite frustrating to deal with. Except that phone was a prepaid phone which I no longer have cause I switched to contract and got a pantech phone, does not getting calls and texts happen quite often with prepaid?

How come I can't send picture messages on my iPhone?

How come I can't send picture messages on my iPhone? The camera icon button next to the text box area is always grey. The only time I can send pictures is when another person has iMessage. I know you can send pictures without iMessage but how come I'm not able to? Is it because I don't have a cellular data plan? My friends don't have one but they can send picture messages regularly. And I know it's not because of that because I can send picture messages on my G1 when I take my SIM card out of my iPhone and put it into the G1 instead. I've tried going into settings and turning on the MMS option like people do in the video tutorial but when I open my message in settings, i don't have an MMS option.

Someone who knows about technology?

I have an iphone. Would it be easy for me to make a video of pictures of me? One that i could put a song to and post to youtube? Do you know of any apps?

Itunes not detecting iphone since IOS update?

I have also installed the latest version of itunes but it still not detecting my iphone. I'm sure my computer has detected it because when I plugged my phone in, it asked if I want to upload the photos in my phone. So it was just the itunes problem. What should be done?

Has this ever happened to you? I took like 50 pictures yesterday and they are all gone?
Also I don't have iCloud or anything to back them up.
Is there a way of getting them back
