Dropped My iphone 5 in water bowl bit still working?

I dropped it 24 hours ago… It was in a deep bowl for 10 seconds… I took it out and dried it and it was still on (I didn't know i had to switch it off immediatly) so i checked it it was still working
I checked my mail and fb and it was great just no spund i googled (using the phone) how to deal with this situation and I read about the rice… I put it in a tight container… But i have zero patience i took it out a couple of times to check if it was still working (and it was) i left it in the rice for 6 hours

And in the morning I charged it with no issues

Am i safe? It is working great
Did i get lucky? Or will something happen. To it in the next few days?

Added (1). I keep reading I should keep it in the rice for 1 week
But do i really need to? I can't be away from my phone this much

Can the other iPhone user knows that you're calling from an iPhone?

My mom asked this question to me. I said yes. It will appear under the name of the person that you're receiving their call. It will appear as " iPhone " when the other person is using iPhone and it will appear " mobile " when they are using other phones.Am i right? Just want to make sure.

Is the US government run by idiots?

If an 80-year-old woman or a three-year-old girl who is confined to a wheelchair can be strip-searched by the TSA at the airport, but a woman in a burka or a hijab is only subject to having her neck and head searched - you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If hard work and success are met with higher taxes and more government regulation and intrusion, while not working is rewarded with Food Stamps, WIC checks, Medicaid benefits, subsidized housing, and free cell phones - you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If the government's plan for getting people back to work is to provide incentives for not working, by granting 99 weeks of unemployment checks, without any requirement to prove that gainful employment was diligently sought, but couldn't be found - you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If you pay your mortgage faithfully, denying yourself the newest big-screen TV, while your neighbor buys iPhones, time shares, a wall-sized do-it-all plasma screen TV and new cars, and the government forgives his debt when he defaults on his mortgage - you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If being stripped of your Constitutional right to defend yourself makes you more "safe" according to the government - you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

My MacBook and iPhone were stolen?

My boyfriend was staying with me for a few weeks, and we ended up randomly breaking up but when he left he took my MacBook, and my iPhone THAT I KNOW OF. The reason I found out he did it was because he's trying to sell it to a friend of mine. I knew my phone was gone right away, but I just got a new MacBook for Christmas. A few people are telling me I should press charges on him, so that he don't do it to other people. The police are already involved on getting my things back. I'm just wondering if I'd be the bad person if I did, or if it'd be the right thing to do.
