Why do people hate on brands?

We'll let me explain the situation… I noticed a transition I guess you would call it. I used to be a gamer, like hardcore, and I had all the really cool gear. I had all the name brand gear the latest games custom stuff, you name it I owned it. But recently I stopped and starting getting more social and doing outdoor sports and listening to music all hours of the day. So I decided (as most people would) that I wanted to have nice gear for these activities like music. And when I was a gamer and I said "just got the new headset" people were awesome "oh that's awesome", "wow I've always wanted those, hope you like them" but now it's deferent. I have what people consider to be stuff that people buy because it's "cool" I have Beats headsets, iPhone, iPad, I wear Osiris shoes, stuff like that. I bought these things because I like them, Osiris shoes are comfortable and good for when I skate, iPad is useful for studying and watching tv, the iPhone was the first phone I ever had and I just liked it. But now I have to justify every purchase I make. "Wow you have beats, have fun on the bandwagon" "wow you have an iPhone buy an android you idiot" "High tops are for fruits who wanna be cool" what the hell? Why is it that if I wanna treat myself to something nice people have to scorn me? It seriously gets to me because my parents work incredibly hard so that I can have nice stuff because growing up they had it bad, and then people just make it impossible to enjoy these things. Anybody got any thoughts?

I cracked my screen over my camera?

My brother jumped on my phone and threw it at a wall, (iphone) a few weeks ago, and over the pat few days my phone randomly goes into sort of a negative effect, and flashing lines appear. I have to turn my phone off a couple of times for it to go away, but it just reappears again. Can I get this fixed or should I get a new phone?

Can I use an Iphone 5c as an ipod?

Long story short-- I want an ipod 5 but I don't want to spend all that money when I could just by an Iphone 5c for much cheaper.
I was wondering if I just bought a new Iphone 5c offline (probably eBay) can I use it as just an ipod (games, apps, music, internet, etc.) without like activating it as a phone. I don't want to pay for it monthly because I will not being using it as a phone.
Don't ask me why I want to do this, I just want to know if this works. I've already tried searching it but I'm a bit confused. Mostly about the SIM card. Doesn't an Iphone come with a SIM card? I've read that it is possible as long as you have a SIM card to activate the phone? Is this true? If so, HOW do I do it? Just buy the phone and activate it and I'm all set, orrr?

Any info is appreciated, thanks!

How to download music from an app for iPhone 4S?

I've been downloading music from a free app for my iphone but I can only listen to the music in the app, is there a way to put the music into the music folder? Or a free music app that can download music and store it in the music folder?

Why doesn't iMovie sense my iPhone?

On my old computer, whenever i plugged in my iPhone, right away an option allowing me to import my videos would pop up. On my new laptop, it's as if my imovie does not sense that my iphone is plugged in. Iphoto and itunes senses it but it doesn't pop up in iMovie. Is there a way that i could manually make it ask me to import? Or some way to fix my problem…

Mac said another device was using computer's IP address?

It was a message that popped up right after I brought it back from sleep mode. I clicked OK and then the connection eventually worked again. During this time my sister came to visit with her iPhone and there are other lap tops and another iPhone that my family uses as well. I've just never had the problem before so was wondering if that was the issue? Is there anything to do? Internet has worked fine since but it was still a bit alarming seeing that message.

Added (1). I have no idea what "your computer is wide open" means…

Added (2). Also, I've had no issue with my signal velocity… If that means the speed of my 'net.
