I want to study music, how should I start?

I love music, so I decided to see if I can make a career out of it. Thing is, I have almost zero information on how to actually create it and get a good sound out of it. I'm into dub, glitch hop, electronic, hardstyle, and trap. I want to learn as much as I can. But I need to learn the very basics of it. The only knowledge I have of it is a few times of messing around on Beatwave on the iPhone. Can anyone guide me to the path of the basics?

After reading all of the comments, there's definitely something wrong with the subwoofer, which is why this is so cheap. The speakers are still good though… Right? Should I buy it and then just buy a subwoofer on the side to save a lot of money? Like maybe this: http://www.bestbuy.com/...8924793285

Someone else suggested getting this for a receiver (since it's iPhone compatible): http://www.newegg.com/...6882117408

Do you think this setup would be alright to listen to music?

How to speed up iTunes (overall)?

I'm on a mac, running the newest version of iTunes. It's gotten so slow that it's not even worth taking the time to use it. It will take several minutes to load up, and then several more before I can even play a song. The response from the software is very sluggish.

My itunes library is very large (close to 400GBs) and located on an external hard drive.

What can I do to speed up itunes? Do I need to reduce the size of my library? Should I try to make room to move it back over to my computer, rather than the external? (USB 2.0) Is there an alternative to iTunes that works more efficiently, but can still work with my other apple products? (iphone, ipad, etc?) Thanks.

Should I update my iPhone 5 to iOS 7?

So I've heard a LOT of things about iOS- some good and some bad. Everyone I've asked either loves it or hates it. I have an iPhone 5 that I've had since April. I still have iOS 6 on it because I've been scared to make the change. Does it make the device run better? Are there any major issues that I should be concerned about? I just want honest opinions because I'm pretty torn on whether or not to update.

Also, does it cause you to lose everything on your phone?
If you have it and have a particular opinion about iOS please answer this question and let me know!
