How to cope with very few material things?

I'm 35 lived on welfare all my life due to disabilitys… I came from a working class family, had a nice home as a kid, the family home my mum loved and overprotected me.

but now, well into adulthood… I've lost a lot of my possessions over the years, through moving addresses… Suffering theft… Things being stolen from me.

things from my childhood, items i can't replace… Today i live quite poor and own hardly anything material wise.

my main possession is my windows 7 laptop, my old blackberry phone, a few books… Few items of clothing… Few pairs of footwear… And thats all.

i do not own ipad or an iphone, i don't have satellite radio, don't have a playstation 3, don't have a tablet… Or any hand held device… Don't have many clothes… In a modern world full of materialism, how do you cope with that?

I'd like a sound system to play music in my room?

Let me start off by saying that I have absolutely no knowledge of stereos and all that kind of stuff. What I'm looking to do is to be able to play my iPhone through some speakers and a subwoofer. Basically, I want to be able to play music that sounds as nice as my car does, but in my room. It's nothing special but you know how car stereos always sounds pretty good? Well my computer speakers just don't cut it, and neither does my headset. The thing I'm really interested in is a subwoofer because I want that thumping bass in my room, but I know you can't just plug an iPhone into a subwoofer so I need some sort of sound system or whatever you call it.

So what do I need to buy?

I've found small 10" subwoofers on bestbuy.com for like $130~. My price range is no more than $500, I'm hoping that'd be enough for all the parts I'd need. I know sub enthusiasts are going to say that I won't get an amazing sound with a $500 price range, but to someone like me I'm sure it'll sound just fine.

Also, let me just add another small question: would it be possible to just buy a subwoofer, plug it into my computer, and play music that way? My speakers on my computer sound just fine, I just want to add thumping bass.

My router isn't letting me connect to online game servers?

I have had this issue for a while now and it has been bugging me for ages. I have a net gear router, I can connect to Wi-Fi on my iPhone and macbook and the internet is fast and quick on my pc, but when i try to play games like Team Fortress 2, which requires me to connect to other online servers in order to play, it will work for the first 5 - 10 minutes and then give me a "no internet games responded to the query," notification. On my playstation 3, i will get disconnected from my router for no reason. People have been telling me it has to do with my firewalls but i have allowed full access of these programs with my firewall. I'm not much of a tech person, so it would be nice to have it as simplified as possible.

IPhone 5 microphone STILL not working after replacing?

Alright my iPhone 5 microphone stopped working when I was out of town at work. When I received phone calls the caller couldn't hear me until I put the call on speakerphone. Siri wouldn't work nor voice memos. So it has to be the mic if it was a hardware issue.

When I got home I did 2 full restores. Cleared every little lint and dirt from the areas where the three mics are located and that did nothing. I ordered a new part from ebay and replaced it and it does the same thing. I really can't think of what else it could be.

One thing that confused me was that if I flicked or blew into the mic when I was recording a voice memo a sound would be recorded also if I yelled really loud It would record my voice but very softly. So is the sound just being muffled?

I read about the noise cancellation feature the iPhone 5 has, could something about this feature be messing up the sounds it receives?

Added (1). There's no mute button on siri and in voice memos… Smh

Added (2). To Mang: I updated to the newest iOS 7.0.3 a couple of days before I noticed the problem. It MIGHT be THAT update that messed my phone up but I have no way of telling if it really is that. Wouldn't everyone have that problem after the update?

How to get photos from a water damaged iphone?

My iphone took a ***.
Literally.
When I retrieved my phone from the water, which it had been submerged under for about five seconds, it worked just fine, as if nothing had happened. No problems.
When I went to set an alarm later that night, the phones sound was messed up. Still worked, just staticky. Using a blow dryer, the sound returned to normal. Phone was working perfectly fine. So I set my alarm, and I went to bed.
I woke up at about three in the morning, and checked my phone. It was plugged into my wall. It said it was searching for signal. I thought, how weird, I have it in the same spot every night and it always has signal. I unplugged my phone, and it was gone. No power. I put it in rice and left it there for a few days.
My phone works when it's plugged into an outlet just fine. The model is iPhone 4S. When not plugged in, it doesn't even turned on. Plug it in, and you get a few minutes of power (while still plugged into the wall), and the phone will eventually shut itself off. All you have to do is unplug it, replug it, and it repeats the process.
I'm getting a new phone, and I have an iPad. The only thing I'm concerned about is my photos. I don't have access to a computer, and I was wondering if there was any way I could get my photos onto my iPad. I didn't have photo stream turned on on my phone. Using the few minutes I get on my phone, what can I do? Thank you in advance, these memories are very precious to me that I need saved.

How to get my movies from my iPhone 4s?

I have a 64 GB iPhone 4s, all that space seemed pointless to waste so I ripped the DVDs of Star Wars to my computer and uploaded them to my iPhone.

Long story short, I needed to do a clean install of Windows to my computer and, my backups were corrupt, and the DVDs are at a friend's house a long ways away and to rip them again I'd need to get them to mail them.

I was wondering if there were a way for me to pull the movies off of my iPhone to my computer.iTunes requires me to wipe them off my phone if I want to sync movies, and my searches all resulted in getting the videos I took myself rather than the ones accessible via the "movies" app.
