My girlfriend is getting an iPhone 4 from Ebay that is unlocked so it can work with her StraightTalk SIM. She wants to update to iOS 7 when it comes out Monday. We won't know till tomorrow if it was done by a 3rd party or legally through the carrier. If it was by 3rd party, can we still update the IOS version without losing the unlock?
Is it normal for my iphone charger adapter to heat up while charging iphone?
Hi, I recently lost my remote control to my intempo perform speaker for my iphone, can anyone tell where online or in store (UK) I can purchase another?
I recently got a Iphone 5 and on my old iphone I need this app with data on my new iphone. I put my same icloud name I got all the apps but it didn't save my data on the app. So does anybody know how to do that?
OK, so I was totally drunk and in no fit state of mind… And had lost my iphone charger, and needed to charge my iphone.
I looked online to see if there was anyway I could charge it, using some other kind of cable etc. (I've had success with this in the past with other older kind of phones so thought there may be something.
But anyway, I saw a few suggestions of putting it in a microwave for a few seconds, and for some stupid reason I actually tried it.
I managed to open the microwave door after just a few seconds, but it was crackling and sparking, and some of the plastic bits around the side of the screen have melted and changed shape.
it doesn't turn on, and is extremely annoying. It has all sorts of important info on it, as well as pictures of the holiday I just came back from yesterday, and all the usual numbers, notes etc etc. I'm also absolutely skint at the moment and definitely can't afford a new one.
Is there any possible way it might be repairable? May it just require a new battery, or something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
I have recently bought an iPhone 4S. I rarely use the App Store, what I mostly do is surfing in the internet through Safari. I don't open too "virulent" sites, I just access Facebook, WolframAlpha and some gaming sites (like Zelda Informer, which in normal browsers has lots of ads).
But then, suddenly, some days ago, some weird apps that I've never heard of appeared out of nowhere. That time I just freaked out and deleted them (actually, they hadn't ended their downloads yet).
Ok, they disappeared. But then, some days later, I'm checking the second "page" of the home menu and I see some weird apps. They are "Drunk", "Cadê?" (means "where" in Portuguese, my first language as I'm from Brasil. It used to be the name a search engine millions of years ago but I don't know if it's the same thig), "Office Lite" (has MS Word and Excel logos in it), KS Office (no idea of what is it) and "Documents".
I didn't open them, but now, instead of just freaking out, I printscreened and them deleted them.
Now I want to know: has this ever happened to you? What did you do? What does this mean? Should I be worried?
Okay so I dropped my iPhone 4 in the toilet for about 2 seconds and I took it out (the water was clean) and then I put it in some rice. It was working fine when I put it in the rice like it still turned on and the screen did not have any water damage. It's been in the rice for about 7 hours and it has been vibrating because of texts and notifications through out the day. Do you think it is safe if I take it out of the rice now?
I'm trying to get my school mail on my phone. I have the iphone 5 and I want to get my email on there. It is the microsoft exchange and I don't know what the server is. Does anyone know what that is?
Personal hotspot has disappeared. It's not there when I open Settings.
It's not in Settings<General<Cellular either. My carrier doesn't require paying for tethering to work and everything about my iPhone is identical to my friends iPhone. All the settings, iOS versions, all that stuff.
Why doesn't my iPhone have personal hotspot? It just doesn't appear and, apparently, nobody else has had this problem, because when I search on Google it doesn't appear. Everyone says "Settings<General<Cellular" but it just isn't there. It just says "Cellular network settings" which takes me to the APN where the DATA settings of my carrier are included. No signs of "Personal hotspot" anywhere. Why is that?
Added (1). Oh dear… First answer to my question and it's already the same thing…
I clearly stated that "SETTINGS<GENERAL<CELLULAR" does NOT have Personal Hotspot there on my iPhone.
I would appreciate people taking the time to actually read what the problem is before answering…
Added (2). 6.1.4, the latest firmware that is only available on iPhone 5.
Certificate? I will attempt that.
Added (3). I can't find "Profile" in General. IPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4.
