New sim not working in iPhone 4s?

My boyfriend just upgraded his phone and gave me his iPhone 4s. He's on billpay and I'm on prepay (credit). I had to switch over networks from o2 to vodafone which was fine but now that I've put the sim card in, it just says no service (the sim isn't damaged)? The guy at the shop said it would take an hour for the sim to work but that was 3 hours ago.Am I meant to leave to sim in the phone for an hour and then it will work? It also will not connect to Wi-Fi. Any help would be great!

My iphone 3gs keeps crashing, and now won't turn on

My iphone ran out of battery thismorning, and when it runs out of battery, i plug it in and the red low battery thing pops up, then after a while it turns to the apple logo and it seems to boot up. But it gets to a certain point and crashes again! And its stuck in a loop! Normally it takes all night before it comes back on, but its taken longer today, and i can't get it working!

Returning my iPhone? Unfair selling?

6 months ago, I purchased an iPhone 4s. First I asked for an iPhone 4, but the seller said that they were out of stock. Anyways, when the phone was brought out, all the seller asked me for is personal information. She didn't talk to me about plans and monthly payment details at all. Then in the end when I asked, she told me I'll be paying $55 a month, which is a huge amount of money, especially when I'm trying to save up for things like travelling and utility fees, where with an iPhone 4, the cost was only $20. When I asked to cancel the phone, she told me that there would be credit damage on my account and that then I would have to pay fees for nothing, therefore I can't return the phone. I really want to return it, but I would have to pay around $200 or even more. Is there anyway that I can return the phone for a cheaper price?

How to fix the sound switch on my iPhone 4?

Well I was taking a shower and I like to listen to music in there and I don't know if I got any water on it. But now my sound switch isn't working (the one with the orange line), I can still switch it but it doesn't change to silent. I can't go to the apple store cause we don't have one near us, and I don't know if I can open it up because I don't want to break it. Should I give it some time or something

Please answer

How to un-jailbreak or update a jailbroken iPhone 3gs?

I have a 3gs, it was originally on the Vodafone network but I'm Meteor so had it jailbroken. However, I wasn't aware that if I got it jailbroken it was stuck on version 4.1 and no apps are available for download on this version - thus the phone is nearly useless to me. I'm under the impression that if I update it on itunes, the phone will be locked forever from any network and will not be available for use at all as a phone - is this true? If I restore the phone will it revert back to the vodafone network or will it just lock completely?
I'm willing to switch networks if it means I can update the phone but amn't sure if I'm able to do this now that it has been jailbroken.
Is there anyway to either:
a. Reverse a jailbroken phone
or
b.update my software to the latest (version 6.something)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not very tech savvy so in simplest terms - I do know that there's a Cydia app on the phone now?

Also I don't have anything on the phone thats worth saving so it doesn't matter to me if I lose apps or anything at all!

Unresponsive iPhone 5 home button?

I just got a 2nd iPhone 5 in the beginning of the month of August. I switch from Sprint to Verizon, so I had to give my old iphone back to Sprint. I just dropped my iphone and the home button isn't working. Which is strange, because I've never had this happened to my old phone, and I've dropped it a million of times without this problem. My younger brother, actually threw his iphone, full force at the wall (Don't ask) and his home button wasn't working, but after a few minutes, it started working again. I already added the assistive touch button, but I hate it being on my phone. Will I be able to go to the Apple store so they can fix it for me? Does it cost a lot? Or is there anyway I can fix it myself?

Will using an iPhone work in my region vs AT&T?

I live in a region where cellular phone-technology is very sparse. Only AT&T has signal-strength enough to make & receive cell phone calls in regions in my neighborhood.
Because of this, I use a Windows Touchpad as my only connection to the outside-world.

How do either of the APPLE units connect? - Do any of the ipads / iphones /ietc devices connect using different signals (via direct sattelite connection) vs.local Towers?
