Iphone 'Other' taking up too much space?

So I had looked this up and it said that I should clear all my history and bookmarks, and then text messages which I did. I only have 3 text messages open and no history or bookmarks and nothing in my reading list.
Before I did this, I had 8.2GB in other but after I have 7.56GB, so its only a tiny difference.
What can I do to clear some of it? I only have 826.9MB available.
How can I fix this?
I had an Iphone before but the lock button broke so they simply replaced it and thats when I noticed the problem.

Added (1). The pictures and everything else take up almost no space. The only problem is 'Other'

How to make my IPhone 4S work again?

My IPhone 4S is shutting down on me. It has been messing up but today it just shut down because the battery died and then it wouldnt take a charge so it was just dead. I need some very important pictures off there. But it now is just flashing the apple on and off. So how could i it to work? Or is there someway i could get the pictures off?

Is it illegal to send nudes on Kik or can you be tracked?

Through an app for iPhones called kik, my friend met a girl and they were dating for a few days. He accidentally sent her a nude picture of him that was on his phone. She got a picture of his face from one of her friends after they broke up and now my friend is scared that he's going to be tracked by the police for it since she might be holding a grudge on him because he dumped her. If she does report this to the police is there any offence? They are both 17, my friend lives in Ontario and she lives in Washington.

Why does my iPhone keep dimming?

I find that whenever I'm using my phone it is always getting darker and I have to keep turning the brightness back up. Are any other iPhone users noticing this or is it just my phone?

My iPhone 5 has insurance. The lock button has stopped working properly. It does not work on the right side, and you have to press really hard for it to work on the left side. I currently use assistive touch. Will AT&T replace my iPhone for me if I take it to my local AT&T store?
