IPad 1st Generation & iPhone 3G screen repair?
Have an appointment with an Apple Genius (booked online) to take a look at my 1st generation iPad as I think the LCD is messed up; it's only half the screen which is annoying. It's been dropped many times over the past 3 or so years but until now, no long lasting damage. I'm aware is a pretty old model and Apple don't do repairs; just wondered how much they would expect me to pay for a 'reconditioned' one - it's 32GB Wi-Fi 3G.
Also my old 3G (I have a 4S now) is playing up, screen gets all pixelated every now and then, again, it's a pretty ancient ike the iPad, glass has been repaired twice (not by Apple) - just not sure whether it's worth me bothering to get them to have a look. I live in the UK. I know they charged me £90 to replace my son's iPod Touch (3rd gen) which wasn't much less than what I paid for it so I'm actually dreading what the cost will be! Just wondered if anyone had any experience of how Apple deal with older models.
