I hog my iPhone six stolen at park, using my connections I quickly got in contact with the thief. I got him to agree to meet me alone tomorrow and he's charging me a $200 to get it back. I have an Apple TV in my office, and when I use Netflix, AmazonPrime, Hulu etc on my phone the "cast" button appears and I can cast.
However, my laptop will not find any cast destinations. Also, I downloaded a few CAST apps on my iphone to try and cast browser pages and they don't find any destinations either.
Added (1). My Iphone apps will cast to my Apple TV, but my laptop and other programs will not? (there's no chromecast plugged in)

1. Just stick with a basic cell phone that has no internet access and leave all web browsing and social media to your computer?
2. Go ahead and buy a smartphone, but leave it at home or in your bedroom when you need to go do something important or have dinner with the family, etc., perhaps taking the SIM out and popping it in a basic phone for work?
3. Buy an iPhone and block app installation and web browsing by setting up parental controls either with the help of a friend or with an impossible-to-remember password?
4. Buy a smartphone of any sort and add an app such as Forest that is designed to help fight cellphone addiction?
5. Just give up and spend hours on your phone when you really should be doing something else.
