I just got an iphone 4 and I need a basic "iPhone for dummies" guide. I'm not sure how to download free music into my phone at all so I'm completely lost. I've heard of apps, but is there a way to get the free music and put it into itunes? If so, please tell me

I downloaded some songs from youtube as mp3s. I shorted them below 40 sec with a program. Then i converted them to m4r. Then i add them to my itunes 11 library. Then i attach my iphone 5 and sync them. I also try adding them to tones in iphone itself. I see the tones are added but are GRAYED OUT. I go to the phone ringtones and the songs i added don't appear. Why is this? I have spent 2 hours trying to add 3 ringtones to this damn phone. Its so frustrating. On my android phone it too me 2 minutes to add the ringtones. Why are they GRAYED OUT? How do i fix this?
NHL, MLB schedules in iPhone?
Is there an app, or settings within the offical NHL and MLB apps, that makes it so that you can have a given team(s)' schedule show up in your notification center automatically on that day?
I can't find anything like this in MLB At Bat or NHL GameCenter, but I want the matchups of that day of the teams I've "favorite-ed" to show up in the notification center.
The only thing I've found in the offical apps is a setting for an actual alert to pop up when the game is about an hour away. I want to be able to see it earlier, when I pull down the grey notification center thingy.
With the NHL, there are multiple teams that I follow. So during the regular season, it would be nice to have that convenience right on my phone. And during the playoffs, I obviously want to see all the matchups. I know I can just see them on the MLB and NHL home pages, but I'm curious as to whether I can have this shortcut.
I just bought an iphone 5 and am shopping for waterproof cases. I saw a lifeproof fre case at the store for $90.00.It's on amazon for about $60 to $80. And here on ebay someone is selling it for 15.99. Does this seem legit? How could they be selling it for so cheap? I want to get it but I'm afraid I'm not seeing something here. So I was in the bath today and I accidentally dropped my phone into the bath while it was on. After I took it our I switched it off however the speakers were not working. What should i do please help!
So i want to sign out of everyone using my account. Even the wii and iphone's and stuff like that. How do i do it> juat change my password?
Recently 80% of my iphone contacts mysteriously disappeared. I have them backed up in my itunes, however here is the conundrum: I don't know if I have my iphone set to "auto sync/auto backup" or not. If it is, and I plug my phone in, I will automatically lose all the backed up contacts because it will sync with my phone's current state (no contacts). But: I don't know how to check to see what it's set to (manual or auto backup) without plugging my phone in, because the iphone side bar doesn't appear in itunes until I plug my phone in.
So if I bought music on my iPod… Without syncing with a computer… If I decide to buy an iPhone. Will that purchased music appear?
