That's just it. My text message app won't open at all. It just goes to a white screen for a few seconds and then back to my home screen. I have a new text message, and I figured out that this new text is the reason why I can't open my app. It's a corrupted text. My question is, is there any way I can fix this issue without doing a complete restore to factory settings? I've already tried all the simple solutions.

Recently I've had issues with video playback on my iPhone 4S. The video will load, but when I press play, it toggles really fast to "pause" then the "play" button comes back up and the video won't start. I have to turn my phone off, back on, then it will play. Any suggestions?

If I jailbreak my iPhone 4, will I still be able to use iMessage?
Added (1). My girlfriend lives in Canada and iMessage is the only way we have of communicating besides Skype. I don't have to pay to use iMessage. I don't wanna lose that if I jailbreak my iPhone 4.
