Does long distance texting cost money if its an iPhone to an iPod with email?

K so I'm from America texting my friend from Britain and I have an iPhone and he's on his iPod, but it's on an email, so an app or something.

I have the iPhone 5 & I'm connected to my Wi-Fi at home all the time but its still using my data? I have 6gb of data I can use & I'm trying to make sure I don't go over. How can I fix this? I've been seeing a lot of complaints about this but no answers.

Does it cost money to FaceTime long-distance on an iPhone?

I'm from America and I've been facetiming my old friend from England. Since FaceTime is off email it wouldn't cost money right? Anyways iPods have FaceTime and they don't ge phone bills, so yeah thanks in advance!

If I replace my iPhone 4S battery, will I lose my text messages?

I have some text messages on my phone that I would like to keep, but my battery is fried. I need to replace it, but I need to know if the stuff on my phone will be deleted.

Can you activate an unlocked iphone 4S abroad?

I live in holland ; but for christmas i'm getting an unlocked iphone 4S, but i'm going to receive it in San Francisco at my grandfathers house. If i buy a micro-SIM here in holland (Vodafone NL) can i use that micro sim to activate my new iphone in the USA? Or will it want a SIM from a local carrier, ie AT&T/Verizon?

Added (1). Ok if i can activate it with a vodafone SIM, great, but can i turn off roaming/ put it in airplane mode to use it as an itouch only until i get back to holland?

What is the difference between griffin and armored iPhone cases?

What is the difference between survivor griffin iPhone 4 case and survivor armored iPhone 4 case? My niece wanted a specific color griffin case but I can only find that color in a box that says armored and doesn't say anything about griffin even though it looks like one. There even the same price. Is there a substantial difference?

IPhone 4S video sound problem?

Hi, I have an iPhone 4S and over the past few days whenever I watch a video online the sound plays through the earpiece and not the speakers.
All other sound works absolutely fine, music, ring tone and all that jazz plays through the speaker.
I've tried putting my music and ringer and video all to full volume and in silent mode and not and it doesn't change anything, the volume of the earpiece responds to the volume being changed too.

My apps never load, stuck on waiting?

So I used to have an iPhone 4 and now I have a 4s.both phones no Matter what I do the apps never load. They load immediately on my parents phone but not mine. I've tired clearing history and cookies, I've tried restarting it, getting a better connection, everything. I don't want to go to an apple store or anything.

How come this doesn't show up?

Okay so I have an iPod touch 4g and since there's iMessage on there you can text other people on iPods, iPads, iMacs, and iPhones but when you text someone on a iPhone it doesn't show that they have read the message even when they reply… How come it doesn't show? And it's only on iPhones that it doesn't show. So yeah please help me?
