I have the iPhone 4 and just got the 4s. My mum is having my old iPhone and so she's sorting out a micro sim… But when I put my sim into my new phone will all my apps and contacts and pictures etc.carry over?
When i try to update my iphone 3g to itunes, it says "This version of the iphone software (4.2.1) is up to date"
every time i try to update it. It gives me a date, so i wait and when the day comes… It extends the date. So i don't know if this is a problem my phone is having or i have to keep waiting till my phone is ready to update.

My friend broke her screen a while back but she kept using it because it worked just fine. A little while back her iPhone 4S fell into the toilet while she was cleaning the restrooms at work. She says that the water got into the cracks and it doesn't work anymore. There's a lot of pictures, video, and text that she would like not to lose, so I'm asking
Is there anyway to take the phone somewhere and recover pictures, video, and texts from the phones hard drive?
Can a simple computer store find a way to recover the things?
Doesn't apple hold everything in something called the cloud, so you can recover it if it's lost or stolen? Or is that only if the phone is synced with itunes? (her phone isn't synced with iTunes)
I have iPhone 4 with iOS 5.x.x I don't recall the exact version.
The iPhone is not jailbroken. I tried to update it to iOS 6 OTA during installation i lost the internet connection and couldn't get it to work again.
So decided to restart my phone and got stuck on the apple logo for 4 seconds and restarts again on the apple logo for 4 seconds again and so on.
I've tired pressing the power and home buttons for 20 seconds with no luck.
I've tried pressing the power and home button for 12 seconds the releasing only the home button for couple of seconds which made my phone got the black screen of death!
Repeated the previous steps with no luck.
I've tried Recboot 2.2 (mac version) with no luck! What should i do?
Why does it do this? How do I fix it?
My iPhone 4 had a faulty lock button (it was stiff, I had to press it hard to lock it and power on/off) and because it was out of warranty, I decided that I would replace the lock button myself. I bought all the necessary components, took the iPhone apart, took out the old lock button and the tape for it, then replaced it with my brand new one.
The new lock button feels perfect, it clicks and feels brand new. But there's only one problem, it doesn't actually respond when you press it, the screen won't lock and I can't turn off.
I tried restoring the device to see if that would fix the problem, but to no avail.
I've enabled Assistive Touch, but I would prefer it a lot more if the button simply WORKED, do you think I need to buy ANOTHER lock button sensor tape or is the problem something else?
I just bought a Samsung note 2. The note 2's charger has a rating of 5v 2A. Can I use the iphone's charger (5v 1A) to charger my note 2?
I thinking there are 2 possibilities, first the note 2 draws more current that the iphone charger can supply and breaks down, or second charger stays fine but charges much slower since output current is lower than what is required.
Can someone please advise?
