Received an text from unknown email address?
I got a text from someone's gmail account to my iPhone over iMessage, and I have NO idea who it is. They sent me a text saying "Hey". I don't recognize the email and I don't know if I should respond to them. It kind of freaks me out because they have my number and I don't know how they got it.
Ignore it. Don't freak out. I get spam emails all of the time. I ignore them.
- Why can't I use @icloud.com email address after updating to iOS 6? I've updated my iPhone to iOS 6 and according to Apple I'm supposed to receive an @icloud.com email address that matches my @me.com address. But why can't I log in with the supposedly new address?
- Unknown iPhone passcode set by unknown person? A passcode has been set on my iPhone without me knowing, now it is locked up. It says here to connect it to my computer and back up then restore my iPhone. Will this clear everything off my phone or will it be the same as it was before it got locked? I have only attempted unlocking it about 5 times in fear of disabling it. I do not want to back up then restore it if it will clear everything off and transfer it to the computer. Are there any alternatives to unlocking my iPhone?
- ON IPHONE, How do i send a text a email address as a SMS and not MMS? On my basic phone, I can text a email address without it being MMS. Now on my iPhone, it only can text email addresses using MMS. This requires data. Does apple IPHONES not know how to text a email address? I don't want to use data to text email address? I might as well just use email.
- If I send a text using my email address to a fellow iPhone user will it always show delivered? Even if blocked? If you're phone number is blocked, I know messages won't show delivered. But if your email isn't known to contact, and you send text using your email, will it be delivered? I did and the blue bubble shows with delivered status. But if I send a regular text the blue changes to green, sent as text. I know my number is blocked. But he doesn't have my email.
