Should I buy my daughter an iPhone 5?

I can afford the phone, BUT my daughter is very clumsy and irresponsible. She has good grades and all, and has been bugging me for months for the darn phone.

I honestly don't know what to do, she's eleven, I add.

So tell me, should I get my daughter an iPhone 5?

Well from my own experience, If she really wants it she will take good care of it no matter how clumsy she is. She'll probably adore it and won't let it out of her sight. 11 is an age were girls feel they need to fit In and probably everyone else in her class has a phone. If she really is that clumsy buy her a bumper case which is a thick case that doesn't crack the phone if it has fallen. Also if your worried she'll lose it set some rules for eg. She can't take it to the shops, She can't take it to… Etc Hope this helps =D

I really think 11 is too young for a iPhone, especially if she is clumsy and irresponsible. Along with being vey expensive, iPhones are easily broken. Start her off with cheap and sturdy pay as you go phones (This way she can't run up a massive bill) until she proves she can look after it. I went through 3 phones in three years (All low quality pay as you go) until I got my iPhone, with my own money. This made me appreciate it a lot more and I still have it, in perfect condition, three years later.

I'm not a parent but my youngest brother is 11 and getting a samsung galaxy s5 for his 12th birthday next month. Which is better than my phone (lg g2) andim 17. So I don't see what is the big deal. Just get insurance if something happens

Why would you buy your eleven year old a phone? Let alone a iPhone? You should not she sounds very "grown" parents who help they're kids "grow up" fast like this the kids trun out to be very disrespectful and are always gonna want more… Next she's gonna want "makeup" "clothes" than a boyfriend… Just don't do it you could get her a phone but not a iPhone 5 buy her a ipad!

I think you should. They have these cases called Otterboxes that protect the phones and there's waterproof ones. You can also get them on amazon

Get insurance on the phone. And get her a really good phone case.

If you do decide to get her the iPhone, get her a sturdy case so if she drops it it won't crack, a screen protector and get insurance. Iphones break easy though:/
