Should I get my daughter a iphone?

My daughter needs a phone, when I take her to cheer leading, she's 8 but when i take her I never know what time to take her I was thinking about giving her my old iphone 1st gen, she always wanted a iphone, for she can play games and stuff

Yes you should give her an iphone and that is very generous of you to even think about that i just got my first phone last week I think that the best thing to do is to surprise her with it after cheerleading

I don't think it's a good idea to give a child a phone at such a young age. The radiations that come from the phone are really bad especially that she's still growing and developing. Also having an old iPhone at such a young age will make her want a new iPhone by the time she's 10 or so…

Sounds a lot like bad parenting to me. Why the hell would you give your eight year old child an iPhone? Get a basic phone or something. Plus, iPhones suck. Lol

An 8 year old doesn't inherently need a phone. But since she's in extracurricular activities, I can understand why you would want her to have one, just as a precaution. But there's NO reason why she should have an iPhone, evenn it if it's 1st Generation. She's still young. Just get her a basic phone to call you with.
