Should I get my daughter an iphone 5s?

Well my daughter is turning 11 I thought she was still to young for a phone it's gonna be her birthday in 2 days and I was just gonna get her a Nokia Lumia 521 from metro pcs but she only wants an iphone should I get it for her or not or do you think she's to young for a phone

Personally, I think thats a little to young. I got my first iphone when I entered high school, I think that is a good age to get one. But I definteley think getting her a phone for her 11th birthday is a great idea, just not an iPhone. Wait a little longer, trust me, if you get her one she will be attached to it constantly.

You should give her it when she's 12 or 13.

I'm 13 y/o old boy i have an cell phone but its an cheap Android device my parents say to me we won't buy you any expensive phone until you turn 16 but recently i had a deal with my dad that if i get 90 percent marks in my finally papers he will gift me an iPhone 5s at my next birthday(when i'll be 14) but at the age of 11 i couldn't even think about it

I would say get her a more basic phone to start out. I'm 16, and I got my first phone when I was 12, it was just a basic flip up the keyboard phone. IPhone is a bit too much for kids of that age I think. I got my first IPhone when I was 15. IPhone's need a very responsible user, as it is way too easy to go over your data on an IPhone. Also they are EXTREMELY addictive. The first cell phone is what determines how much she uses it, if she gets a more basic phone, she won't be on it overly much, get her an IPhone and she will be attached to that 24/7, Including school. Trust me, the minute she would get an Iphone, you'd see her marks go down at least 1 letter grade. I think start her with the Nokia, and get her an IPhone when she is more experienced in responsible phone use.

Get it for her, it will teach her very well on how to be responsible.

I would wait until she is a freshman in high school. You can always get something like an ipod touch where she can use imessage, and no monthly contract needed etc, and you can watch over it that way until she gets older.
