Should i get nexus 5 or keep my iphone 5s?
Nexus 5 is android which is a very user frindly os and most of the good apps r free. While iOS is a good means of show off but most of the apps are paid. So Nexus 5 is more good
Iphone has the best apps and security (no virus checker neededed like other phones have).
It also has imessage, Siri, facetime, both front and rear video camera, aluminum casing, slomo video, sapphire lens over camera and fingerprint both, airdrop, call blocking, etc., and is also the only 64-bit phone on the market today. Jmo but I think you will regret it if you don't get it but get whatever you like.
Plus when you resell it in the future, iphones hold their value far better then other phones, so you actually get alot more back for it.
With Android 4.4. They've made Android a lot easier to understand. My mom got one and it required her just about 30 minutes to finally get the hang of it, and she's sort of behind the times. IOS is also very easy to understand. But the customization is limited. With Android you can do all sorts of things, add custom roms, custom launchers, etc. Both are approximately as fast as each other in day to day use. Some of the down points are that the Nexus 5 has an arguably "not as good" camera as the 5S, but it isn't a bad camera, it just isn't as good. The 5 inch display at the full HD1080p vs the 4 inch phone 5s subHD-720p resolution is considered to be more detailed than the iphone5s retina display. I have experienced both displays, and the extra inch on the Nexus is a real big welcome (especially when watching movies and playing games) to the small 4 inch iphone 5s. While I was looking at video up close, I could see that the Nexus 5's screen is more detailed and crisp than the iphone5s. However, the difference is only apparent when the phones are side by side. The Nexus 5's display's bad point is that its colors are slightly under-saturated (colors don't "pop"), compared to the iPhone's display which has better color saturation. Onto battery life both will manage to get through the day, but the Nexus 5 has often been ridiculed for its slightly sub-average battery life. If you're not a heavy user both phones will get you through the day (using the phones for playing games, using it as a hotspot, extensive youtubing, etc). In the end, if you want a bigger screen, a much more customizable device, and don't use your phone 24/7. Then you should get the Nexus 5. I personally recommend the LG G2, the device the nexus 5 was based on, if you don't mind forking over around $500 (about $150 more). It has a slightly bigger display at 5.2 inches and has the same speed as the nexus 5. With a much bigger battery at 3000mah. (The nexus 5 has 2300, and the iphone 5S has a 1560mah battery in perspective, keep in mind a bigger display at a higher resolution sucks out more battery) The battery on the G2 gets power-users almost a day and a half. 2+ days if you're not a tech enthusiast like I'm.
- Should I trade my iPhone 5s for a nexus 5? If I sell my 5s on ebay I can get a nexus 5 and have $310 in profit. I'm not sure if its a good idea though because I love iMessage and like the idea of 64 bit processor but I hate how I can't download files off the internet and tweak the software. I also have an ipad too. I want a high performing smartphone.
