Don't get a sound bar. Get this.

To connect your phone you may get this in addition. It changes color to the beat and looks good in the room.

Any of those home theater in a box are not very good in quality or reliability. Most of them are not flexible for adding anything to them or for up grading. Sound bars are good if you have a limited space. Even in the very high end audio you are not going to find them with wireless connections. The only home theater in a box that I could recommend is the Onkyo HT-S3500.It is a 5.1 receiver and a set of speakers and you can up grade and connect all your other device to it. You can demo the unit at any Fry's Electronic and it retails for under $300. Don't be fooled on those power rating the home theater in a box provide. From your selection, the Panasonic would be the best. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Hope this will help you out.

The best option is separate speakers. Whether or not to do that route depends on how viable installing it is. For many, the SAF doesn't allow it. SAF is Spouse Acceptance Factor. If your other half says NO, then no. As for wires, One option is to run them under the carpet or under the floor. There are YouTube videos that show you how to run the wires inside walls.

Sound bars give you simulated 5.1.It can NEVER be as good as 6 actual speakers. Use reviews to find one that sounds good in your price range.

I recommend you use surround sound with suppliers from Sonic Electronix. This is a trust-able brand.
