Soup damage to an iPhone 5s?
I was eating miso soup and, like an idiot, dropped my phone into the bowl. Only the bottom quarter was submerged for about one second before I salvaged it. At first the speakers didn't work, but now they're almost perfect again.
The only strange thing is that it keeps saying an unrecognized charger is plugged into my phone, even though nothing is plugged in. I need to charge my phone because I need to take it with me really soon when I leave, so when I plugged it into the charger, it still charges, but the charger has liquid on it when I pull it out. And that "This charger or accessory is not supported" message keeps popping up. Is there a way I can clean out the charging port? I think that's the only part that's been severely affected.
Added (1). I refuse to get a replacement when it's working almost perfectly fine.
Be more careful with the replacement.
- Will my iPhone still work after water damage? It fell into a bucket of water last night and I can't turn the phone off because the screen is black. I can hear the phone ringing and vibrating, but can't see anything. I put it in a bowl of rice, is this fixable? Will the screen eventually work?
- Sprint warranty for water damage on iphone 4s? Recently, my brand new iphone 4s fell on my sink, the problem with it is that there are grey spots and blue spots on my screen. Do you know if there's a warranty on my phone, i remember the worker told me that it did not cover loss but i don't remember after that
- Spilled chicken noodle soup on iPhone? Hi, yesterday I spilled chicken noodle soup on my iPhone. I hurry up and wiped my iPhone off with my shirt, and I made sure I wiped it thoroughly, in the ear speaker, and then I tried to call someone and the speaker was quiet. I love my phone and sit for 10 minutes, and then the sound was back to normal. Is this something I should worry about? My phone is fine now. But can something happen?
- My iPhone 4 suffered heavy water damage, will it be okay? I went in the pool with it not realizing it was in my pocket. I was in the pool for about 5-10 minutes before I realized it was in my pocket. It was on when I went in the pool but was off when I got out. I now have it sitting in a bowl of rice and I plan on leaving it in there for a week, changing the rice it's in every 24 hours. Does anyone have any insight on this, like if there's any hope of it being okay or is it done for?
