What do I have to do to update if my iPhone is jailbroken?

I want to update to IOS 7 but my phone is jailbroken. Do I have to back it up, restore it, THEN update it? Or can I just back it up and update it. I've tried looking at forums online but all of them say I have to do something different.

I think you should back it up(to be safe), then download it, then jailbreak your phone again( if you can). I do not have a iPhone but do know a lot about them.
