Why do my eyes tired only with pc monitor?

I have no problem reading in my iphone, ipad and reading books. I have the same monitor for 10 years

Most likely, you stare more intently at the monitor or sit closer to it.

Staring intently causes you to blink less, and your eyes can get dry and irritated.

You should have an eye exam. You are probably somewhat farsighted, and glasses for when you use the computer will help.

Computer screens are notorious for giving eye strain. Having an eye test is probably a good idea as it doesn't help if your eyesight isn't perfect, but there are other things you can do. Screen at arms length - don't' face the light. Screen refresh rate, power of cpu all make a difference. At 10 years old a monitor may well not be as perfect as it once was and be more likely to cause eyestrain. You can get eyestrain at any point, its a bit of a cumulative thing, and also depends on what sort of software you are using.

Try using teh same sort of softwre you use on your screen on another monitor if you can and see how it goes.

  • Why do naps make me more tired? Whenever i take a nap, i will sleep for like 3-4 hours, but whenever i wake up, i'm twice as tired as i was before! Does anyone know why this would happen? What can i do or take that would help me wake up non-cranky-like and rested?
  • Why do my eyes hurt more recently? I went to the doctor about 2 weeks ago and he said my eyes are fine, nothing is wrong. I've had headaches for a while but recently they've been dying down, but my eyes have hurt more now. Is it from too much TV and looking at a small iPhone screen? I'm seeing an optometrist later this week to see if I need glasses, because I went 3 weeks ago and the eye doctor said it would help a bit but I denied. Opinions?
  • Why do I do this? I'm very very very tired yet I don't want to sleep? I want to sleep because I'm practically blinking and bobbing my head side to side like a drunken man but I just don't want to sleep. I watch tv or go on Facebook or play on my iPhone. And I'm starting to get dark circles. And as a guy I don't wear. Concealer or whatever
  • My eyes hurt, especially whe looking at a screen, why? So recently my eyes started hurting, especially in the back when I look at my iphone screen or a screen in general, I haven't been having lots of screen time but I would watch about an hour to two hours of netflix on my phone when I go to bed, and my eyes are a bit more sensitive to light, are they just irritated or is there some bigger problem?
