Why do people hate our generation today? - 1

I don't understand, why do older people hate the teens generation today? Right now we use new technologies, like iphones, ipads, and laptops. We don't always use them for playing, we use them for educational purposes, like research, or connecting with other people around the world. Also why do people from the older generation hate teens so much? Teen pregnancy dropped so much within the last decade. Today, the number of graduates are higher than before, and the number of high school dropouts, are slowly decreasing. Bullying between teens, are slightly decreasing through out the years. Our generation today, accepts gay people for who they are. I mean how can anyone hate this generation today?

Added (1). @Xtra you don't think we use our laptops for educational purposes? So I guess when they first created it, they intended its purpose for playing games? Please read your post before posting it. Moron…

Every generation hates the previous generation, it's just the way it is. You will hate the younger generation when you get older.

Because we can be very ignorant and disrespectful.

Maybe because we have stolen everything they have done and claimed it as our own. Like music for example. Most of the modern day songs were originally old school songs with a little twist. And most of the music and dances were stolen from michael jackson.chris brown is a really good example of a person who steals everything from michael jackson.

Its like that for every generation. You honestly expect us to be that most people are using ipods, ipads, and laptops for education? Our education rankings have actually dropped in world rankings, because people are usually technology too much for their entertainment purposes. I'm just saying there are both negative and positive and consequences with the current technology.

Usually it's older people who do that. And back in there day they did not have that much. They think you are too spoiled.

I'm "old" (compared to you) and I don't hate you or your generation. I like the fact that you've spelled the words correctly, something I don't see much of by folks your age here. I grew up during the 1960s and The Who had a song called "My Generation" You should listen to it.

I dislike teens who are rude, obnoxious know-it-alls who don't respect anyone. This applies to all generations, not just Gen Y.

It is good there are fewer teen pregnancies, obviously the education and awareness has had some impact. Even though more of you are going to university, many of you can't even spell or string a basic sentence together. All you need to do is look on YA and the evidence is right in front of your face. The education system has failed miserably somewhere along the line.

Like with every generation, there's a mixture of positive and negative.
