Why do People HATE the iPhone 5?

Before judging me, please read my entire question.

I had owned the EVO 4G droid phone for 2 years. When I bought it in 2010 I loved it, and had no desire to switch to Apple (besides Sprint hadn't gotten the iPhone yet). After three months though, the phone started getting glitchy, crashed a lot, and even with updates (Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich), it just wasn't smooth at all.

I was eligible for a phone upgrade, and last week I bought the iPhone 5- and am in LOVE with it. Smooth interface, great camera, fast iOS. That is… Until I went online and read the COUNTLESS reviews from Android bloggers claiming the iPhone is Apple's worst yet, that Apple is way behind in terms of technology- that all Droid phones have better specs and faster processors. Which is ridiculous because when I had a droid phone it was a total mess, and I love the iPhone! But I don't want to feel like I was duped, and based on the Droid boards- I'm crying right now because its too late for me to return the phone, and many people said I should have gotten the S3 Galaxy.

Why do I feel this way? I was so happy to get the iPhone until I read the reviews of Droid users saying that they hate Apple, we're all iSheep and that the Droids are better. I don't get it. What can the Droid do that the Apple can't? All I want to do is check emails, browse the internet, have quick responses. I'm not into customizing or "configuring" like many of the nerds that love Droid seem to brag about. But I feel terrible that I just signed a 2 year contract for a phone that apparently isn't as great as I thought (and I do like Sprint, thats not my complaint). How can Droid bloggers claim Apple sucks when the reviews I read on CNN and enGadget claimed otherwise. What is going on here?

If you like it, then that's all that matters. I love my Samsung Vitality, even though it's a low budget Android. It fits my needs and works great. My only thing with the iPhone is the price tag that comes along with it. If I found a free iPhone and didn't have to pay for the service, I'm sure I would love it, too. But who knows. I hear they aren't built to last. I've dropped my phone many a times and it has survived with no scratches or cracks. It should be a pile of broken pieces by now, but it's survived.

Not the product itself, just the idiots who buy it. I love how it shows how stupid people really are. Apple changes a few features, and the get tons of people to pay tons of money for it just because it is 'new' and from Apple.
