Why does my iphone 5 charger cord only work at random times?
I bought a $30 10 ft cord from target like 2 weeks ago (i didn't think it would be as bad since it was expensive) and now it has a really weird problem. Sometimes when i plug it into my phone it would work and sometimes it doesn't (it mostly doesn't). I have no idea what the problem is. It isn't the same problem as when i have to bend the cord, its just taking out/putting in the cord.
The wires could be broken, you should return it for a refund or an exchange

When I plug it in, it gives me a warning that it may not be recognized by the device. Does that mean anything, will it harm my phone at all? I just got a new iPhone because my other one randomly broke, but it wasn't from the cord because I stopped using it a couple months before.
