Why is my iPhone 5 using so much data? - 1

For the last couple of months my data usage has skyrocketed! I have gone from not coming close to my 750 megabytes to having to beg EE to upgrade me to a 1gb package which I'm now on round to going over double! The only thing that has changed since I got my phone was a new 4g sim a few months ago but apart from that I havnt changed any setting.

Well, smart phones usually have a menu which will tell you exactly what applications have been accounting for the most data usage. You should look under this to find out what is taking up the most data. Unless your data usage habits have changed and you were not really aware of it, it could be an app you downloaded is using your data allotment without your knowledge. Things that stream videos or music often account for the greatest amount of data usage, and making frequent uploads of things like movies or images (to Facebook, for example) tend to dry up a lot of data resources.
