Why is my iphone 5 using So much data? - 2
I get 3gb on my plan, I have a Facebook Messenger app, whatsapp, candy crush and instagram (as does my sister) but she rarely goes over her limit, however i'm able to go over my 3gbs in 6-7 days easily. My last bill was £40 over due to data.
Any ideas what it could be? How can i see what uses a lot of the data?
If you backup your data to iCloud then it can easily eat 3GB in 6-7 days. You can set it to only backup to iCloud when plugged into mains power and connected to Wi-Fi. I suggest you try that
Are you and your sister on a shared plan? If so you probably should make sure that your not misinterpreting the phone bill. Basically the best way to know exactly what is using the most data is to try using something like http://www.onavo.com/ which is an application that will tell you what apps exactly are using how much data.
There's so many things that use data on your iPhone.
Apps running in the background, iCloud backups, weather updates (from the weather app), and much more.
I'd turn off your data when you aren't going to use it, and turn it on where you're gonna. That'll keep you from using so many data.

I have not been using my internet any more than usual and have had to turn my Wi-Fi off to ensure that I do not use any more internet. I do not understand why I'm suddenly using so much data. Does anyone have any ideas?
