Why won't my iphone 4 charge? - 5

*SEMI-LONG STORY* Okay so my son got a hold of my iphone and got slobber all over the charging port. The phone was already dead I was out & about so i could not try to charge it. I got home put it to charge and the Apple logo came up and was on for about 2 min I unplugged it and put it back to charge but nothing happened. I got my iPod charger and it did not work so I put it in rice for about an hour and the charging icon popped up for about a couple seconds then the Apple icon appeared again and went blank. Tried to charge it again and NO luck. So now its sitting in a bowl of rice, is it Damaged or is the charging port broken?

Perhaps there might be something wrong with the charger…

  • Why won't my iphone 4 charge via laptop? I'm using a Gateway NV53 and there's four USP ports and none of them register that the iphone is recognized. I have gone to Apple to resolve this issue but to no avail. My USB cord is brand new and it works on my other laptop. Any computer whiz in the house?

  • IPhone loses charge overnight.a lot of charge. Why? My iPhone 4S was on 5.1.1 but i did restore the software last week and used a backup to also restore the files. Since then I have been losing about 35-40% of my battery overnight, I'm a very power-conscious person, I only use wi-fi, 3g when i need to and i usually keep everything off except data, notifications are to a minimum and location services are off as well as brightness being as low as possible. What is going on? Any help is appreciated
  • How can I charge I charge my iPhone without an iPhone charger when it is low and needs to be charged and I can't charge it? Reason I may not be able to charge my iPhone. Forgot or don't have any charger at all my, and no where to buy one or I don't have money to buy one. No where to plug in my charger or some other reason I can't charge my iPhone at all.
