Wi-Fi keeps cutting off what should i do?

It's also messing up for my brother's iphone that's connected to Wi-Fi.our internet connection works at the same time and when the Wi-Fi messes up for me, his is messed up. So i'm assuming something is wrong with the router. Most of the day the Wi-Fi doesn't cut on, then when the Wi-Fi comes on it only works for maybe half an hour and then goes out again. I unplugged the cord for the power and only the lights for the telephone and online went out. The lights for the battery and Wi-Fi were still on. What can I unplug to make all the lights on the router to shut off so I can restart it and the Wi-Fi works. Because the laptops internet works, it's just the hand held devices that don't work.

Try resetting your router by using a hard reset option before unplugging the chord and see if it helps if not then you have to buy a new adapter as if the battery and Wi-Fi LED are on even after unplugging the power cable.
