Will apple fix my water damaged iphone 5s?
My phone turned off right away once it got in the water. I bought it off of ebay with a warranty that unfortunately doesn't cover water damage. However, on the apple website it says that they will replace your phone (called an "Out of Warranty Replacement") for $270 for the 5s. I don't have a warranty with apple, but will they still replace it? Since its called "out of warranty" they should right?

No. I could say this is experience-when my iPhone turned off and wouldn't turn on i took it to the store and they reviewed and when an employee came and sat down with me he said well there's no water damage so we can give you your money back. So no i guess they don't cover water damage but they could i dunno they didn't exactly tell me
No. Even if you had Applecare extended coverage, they typically don't cover water damage. For the money try a local cell shop that might be able to repair water damage. Most won't due to corrosion and moisture. Likely a whole new full price replacement. Get a bowl a bag and a lot of rice. Your last option. Best luck.

Now i want to restore it so i could give it to my son. ITs been 4 months now and i have not turned it on since (it doesn't turn on either). Will the rice method still work? Btw, you can't go to the aple store with a damaged iphone… They don't cover it
