Will Verizon replace my iPhone 5 for free?

My iPhone 5 is about 8 months old and recently it has been randomly turning off and when i turn it back on, the Apple logo comes up and a line of code appears at the top and i can't turn it back on, so i factory restored it and it worked for a few days until the same thing happened again. The question that i have is whether or not Verizon would replace it for free considering that it is not physical or water damage; it is a problem with the phones hardware, so it would not void the warranty.

FYI… No wireless carrier replaces a phone! Rather, its the OEM.

When you do a Warranty Claim, you call your wireless carrier. Its just convience for the customer. This doesn't mean they replace it. Rather, the "warranty department" is a lab/warehouse jointly operated by the OEMs the carrier contracts with. Thats all… You make a claim and they simple take a phone off a pallet and ship it to you.

as for Insurance, its STILL not the carrier… That is Asurion Wireless Insurance, the Geico/Allstate of the wireless world… Lmao!

so… Your answer… Is… ATT/Verizon/Sprint/Tmobile will not replace your defective Iphone for free, but Apple will.
