Can I still use my laptop while it has a trojan virus?
I can't afford to get it fixed for a few more days. But I want to put music on my iPhone but will that put a Trojan on my iPhone? #technologicallydeclined
Yeah, will be fine for a few days. Don't enter any personal information to any website like bank information during this time though.
An infection is an infection. Depending on the type of malware, some malware can cause more harm than others. You may or may not be able to use your laptop while it is infected. Malware is very spreading and reproductive, and when it has the chance to reproduce itself onto other devices, it will try to. Don't enter personal or any other information you want to keep secure during the infection. If the malware does not automatically remove from the Uninstall list after cleaning attempts, it still exists somewhere. Check folders like C:\ProgramData and C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp (these are common areas missed in malware cleaning).
Why would you want to look for more problems to listen to some music?
Download, install, and run MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Perform the database update, then do a full scan.

- My laptop has a virus, can't even get to desktop? I would upload a picture but don't know how from an iphone 3. When i turn it on it goes to a bright red screen that says "The hardware on this computer has been deactivated. Warning: Attempting to bypass or reactivate this without the proper password may result in damage to this system and loss of data." I tried all passwords I use, none work. Any help appreciated
- Moving to Germany from USA to live for at least 3 years to study. How can I still use my phone to text/call/FT Americans while I'm there? Do I need to get a completely new phone? Plan? Phone number? I don't understand this process, as I have never gone through it before. I currently have an IPhone 7 and I use AT&T.
- If an iPhone somehow got a virus, what would stop that virus from spreading to the recovery image? If an iPhone got a virus, couldn't it just spread to the recovery image? I don't mean where you connect the iPhone to your computer and restore through iTunes. I mean the restore image that is actually on the iPhone.
