IF you can, Untethered is better because if won't need connection to computer to reboot your phone.

What's the difference between a tethered and an untethered jailbreak? I know one means if you restart the iPhone, it will get stuck on the apple logo during reboot. I want the one where you can restart it with no problems and I won't have to lose any data
What is the difference between tethered unlock and untethered? I just tethered unlock my iphone 3gs and from what i know unlock means you can use any carrier, what's the difference between the two? I unlocked my iphone coz local sim here in the philippines doesn't work with iphone.
