I dropped my iphone 5 in the bath? Not sure if rice is working?
I dropped my iphone 5 in the bath on Thursday evening. It's now Saturday morning. It was submerged for a second or two before I took it out.
I immediately dried it off with a towel. It wasn't registering my movements on the screen. I couldn't swipe to unlock my phone or turn it off. Sometimes it would work, but 9/10 it wouldn't. I turned it off by resetting it, used a hairdryer on it, and submerged it in brown rice for a day. I checked on it about 3 times during the day, it was no better. It is still submerged in rice as we speak.
Is there anything else I can do? I don't have insurance, or much money for that matter. I really hope I can rescue my phone.
Added (1). I looked at similar questions to mine before I did anything with my phone, and one said leave the rice for 12 hours, one said 24, and one said a few days. This was why I checked my phone. Oh well. **** happens.
Added (2). I'm from the UK, and upon calling Apple they said they would replace my phone for £215-£250. I have pretty much surrendered to the fact it is broken.
