How to avoid any charges at all, when having an iphone on vacation?
My dataroaming has always been off. When I'm outside my current country, will it suddenly stop allowing push messages and emails to pop up and use data? How will i avoid all data at once, but without having to turn on plane mode? Cause I still want people to be able to call me, even though i might have to pay a little percentage of the cost. But to avoid data, internet and such.
Added (1). I have an iPhone 5.
If you want people to call you then there's no way around avoiding all charges internationally. Just that alone means you would be charged for roaming where you even pay for receiving a call, which would also leave open the option for text messages where you would also be charged.
As far as data, turning off Cellular Data would do that.
Don't get charged for Wi-Fi use.
Put on airplane mode, and remove the sim. You will not get anything

- Iphone 5 won't connect to computer at all but charges when using wall charger? I've just got an iphone 5, when connecting it to the computer nothing seems to happen - the phone doesn't charge and the computer or itunes doesn't recognise it. When using the same cable with the wall charger it charges… What can i do? I can't go to Apple as i don't have a receipt?
