Should I take my iPhone with me on vacation?

I'm going on vacation march 1st to Kosova *in Europe * and I wanted to know if I should take my iPhone with me… I'm with fido, I was thinking maybe I would take my SIM card out, leave it at home, just take my phone so I can take pictures, connect it with wi-fi over there's that a bad idea? Could I even do that.
Please answer.

Most phones don't work without a sim card. When the sim card pops out of my phone or even moves slightly it tells me to insert the sim card.n it will only let you make emergency calls. No camera. Try taking a camera instead.

Or you can just buy a sim card from the country you are visiting. It shouldnt cost much and you can still have the internet without having to search for Wi-Fi. Or at least that was what I did when I went to London.

İ personaly say you should its great need check your mail and its great idea take photos etc you should take it

I have both the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4 and when I was in EU, I had them both with me. In Italy, I bought a Italian SIM card (it was cheap, like £20), for my iPhone 4. I use that to text friends, and I turned on the personal hotspot to gain access to internet for my iPhone 5.

If I were you, I'd call your cell phone provider and explain that you're going to EU and you want to make sure you're not charged a penny while you're there, how does one do that?

I didn't take my phone on a trip to L. A and I had 10 voicemails to listen too(pain in the but)
They weren't even important mostly form these people who want me to get a job some where but i don't want one! I HAVE ONE! So you could answer them instead of listening to BORING messages okay!
